This picture was taken about noon last Saturday and Saturday evening is when the temps dropped back down below freezing after the big thaw:
Not all areas of the park look as good as this but we did keep a good chunk of our base after the big thaw.
The plan is to groom our new snow (around 5″) this afternoon (Friday) and hopefully the new snow will bond to the old crusty snow overnight. our new snow is light and fluffy but I am hoping that it compacts ok and covers the bar spots. If those two things come together we should have decent skiing this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!
