A couple weeks ago we traveled up to ABR in Ironwood, MI to pick up some of our grooming equipment for this winter. Getting it back down from Ironwood was a long haul but Eric up at ABR was a great guy to work with and the equipment should allow us to do some really good grooming for both skate and classic skiing in a variety of conditions.
We got a 2009 4-stroke Ski-Doo Skandic snowmobile which should be great for pulling the equipment:
We also picked up an ABR 6.5′ roller which will help with the compaction of the trail:
We have an 84″ Yellowstone Systems Ginzugroomer with a track setter coming the first couple weeks of December. This piece of equipment should make a really significant difference for improving the trail conditions in challenging weather conditions.
A big thanks goes out to Kevin Postma for use of his trailer to get the equipment and Quiring Cycles for allowing us to store it until the snow comes.
